The CRB Diarmaid Douglas-Hamilton Memorial Scholarship Award

The CRB Diarmaid Douglas-Hamilton Memorial Scholarship Award will be presented annually to two AAB/CRB members to assist with expenses associated with participating in the annual CRB Symposium/AAB Conference educational program (may include transportation/hotel/meeting registration.) The awards are valued at $1,500 each.

To be eligible, applicants must:

  1. Be a current, active AAB/CRB member.

  2. a. Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program related to reproductive biology, biomedical engineering, or a closely related field.

  3. OR

    b. Be employed full-time in the Assisted Reproductive Technology field.

  4. Demonstrate an interest in advancing the field of Assisted Reproductive Technology or related research areas.

Requirements:

  1. Complete the online scholarship application and submit along with supporting documentation.
  2. Include your current curriculum vitae
  3. Include a 1,000-word essay detailing your vision for the future of Assisted Reproductive Technology and how you hope to contribute to its advancements.
  4. Include a scan of at least one (1) original recommendation letter from a professor or professional in the field. Letters must be signed by the writer and include the writer’s email address and telephone number.
  5. If you are submitting an abstract for oral or poster presentation at the 2025 CRB Symposium/AAB Conference, please include your abstract with the application.

Deadline to Apply: Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. CST on January 23, 2025, to be eligible for an award for the 2025 AAB Educational Conference and CRB Symposium.

Notification: Awardees will be notified by February 6, 2025.

Awardees will be recognized during a special ceremony at the annual CRB Symposium/AAB Conference for which their scholarship award applies.
