ALS/ELS Certification Options to TS(ABB)
Attention Andrologists and Embryologists!
Many andrologists and embryologists seek ABB board certification as a Technical Supervisor (TS). ABB’s TS examinations are very challenging and equivalent to the level of difficulty in the director level examination.
Another option is available for andrologists and embryologists who are working their way up the career ladder. The AAB Board of Registry (ABOR) offers an Andrology Laboratory Scientist (ALS) and an Embryology Laboratory Scientist (ELS) certification.
The ALS and ELS certifications are excellent initial certifications for andrologists and embryologists. As ALSs and ELSs gain more experience and responsibility, they can upgrade to ABB’s Technical Supervisor certification.
Another advantage to the ALS/ELS certifications is that they are administered more frequently, and closer to the applicant’s home, than ABB’s TS examinations. In addition, the ALS/ELS application and examination fees are lower than for ABB’s TS certification.
