CMS Releases Advance Copy of the Final Physician Fee Schedule Rule for 2014

On November 27, 2013, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released an advance copy of the Revisions to Payment Policies under the Physician Fee Schedule, Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule & Other Revisions to Part B for 2014, a final rule with comment period. Included in the rule are CMS's Technological Change Proposal for the Part B CLFS (see pages 683-697); CMS's withdrawal of the payment reductions for Anatomic Pathology (see page 77); and the inability to "score" CMS's proposals (see page 1294).
