Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT) committee

The CRB is seeking volunteers to serve on a newly formed Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT) Committee. The committee is seeking up to four additional volunteers to assist with developing a curriculum for reproductive laboratory personnel. This committee is being formed in response to specific states bringing into question the educational backgrounds of some reproductive laboratory personnel. The goal of the committee would be to collaboratively outline educational program structure, curriculum, and requirements to ultimately draft a white paper to guide the development of a new certificate of credentialing for reproductive laboratory staff that would be recognized by state agencies to meet regulatory requirements. This request detailing the experience and education required for this new certification would be presented for consideration to the American Board of Bioanalysts (ABB) and the American Board of Registry (ABOR).

We are specifically asking for those with experience in regulatory requirements in the states of California, New York and Florida or reproductive laboratory staff with clinical laboratory science backgrounds to consider serving.
